Terms & Conditions
Our Purpose:
To empower and transform the lives of women through the journey of self-discovery,
and to celebrate those who create change, inspire others, and lead by example.
Part 1. Contestant Criteria:
● Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 and above.
● Must be of good character, with no criminal convictions or charges, and not
currently on probation.
● Must commit to attend all rehearsals and training sessions throughout the
competition period.
Part 2. Registration Fee and Payment Options:
The standard registration fee is NZD $1,399.00 per contestant, payable to Mrs. New
Zealand Limited. Contestants may select one of the following two payment options:
Option A – Full Payment:
● One-time payment of NZD $1,399.00 due by 31st August 2025.
Option B – Three Payments:
● Payment 1 (non-refundable deposit): NZD $200.00 due by 31st August 2025 -
upfront deposit to secure spot
● Payment 2: NZD $399.67 due by 7th September 2025
● Payment 3: NZD $399.67 due by 14th September 2025
● Payment 4 (final payment): NZD $399.66 due by 21st September 2025
Refund Policy:
All registration payments are non-refundable. In the event a contestant withdraws
from the competition, any amount already paid remains non-refundable. However, if
only the deposit has been paid at the time of withdrawal, no further
payment will be required.
Part 3. Contestant Benefits and Responsibilities:
Wardrobe Requirements:
Contestants are responsible for preparing their own wardrobe, which includes:
● National Costume
● Evening Wear
● Resort Wear
● Production Number Costume (as specified by the organiser)
● Matching shoes and accessories
Workshops, Training and Grand Final Night:
The organiser will provide a variety of workshops, personal development coaching
such as building wealth and public speaking, catwalk training, wellness, and fitness
introduction classes. Attendance at all such events is mandatory unless prior
approval for absence is granted on genuine and urgent grounds.
Biggest Takeaway:
All Mrs. New Zealand contestants will discover the best version of themselves as they
lead with purpose and build a meaningful legacy not only for themselves, but also for
their family, friends, and the world. This journey is about rediscovering your true self,
embracing your unique gifts, reclaiming your power, becoming a role model, and
recreating your life with confidence and intention.
Ticket Sales Requirement:
Each contestant is required to sell a minimum of 20 tickets to the Grand Final Night
event. Contestants who sell 50 or more tickets will be entered into a draw to win a
dinner for two at Orbit Restaurant, SkyCity Auckland. Contestants who are unable to
meet the minimum ticket sales requirement must inform the organiser in advance.
International Opportunities:
The overall grand winner and other winning titles may qualify to represent New
Zealand at international pageants such as Mrs. Globe, Mrs. Globe Classique, Mrs.
Part 4. Contestants and Title Holders Rules and Obligations
Professional Conduct:
Contestants and title holders are expected to maintain a professional and positive
public image during rehearsals, official events, and their reigning year.
Contestants and Title Holders must:
● Cooperate with all organiser and sponsor requests, such as photographic
sessions, community events, promotional and commercial events, charity
events, and the like, including both public and private engagements.
● Refrain from smoking, alcohol consumption, or drug use at these times.
● Maintain high moral, respect, and ethical standards at all times. Any behaviour
that brings the pageant into disrepute, including posing for nude or
semi-nude images, immoral relationships, substance abuse, or public
misconduct, is grounds for instant dismissal.
● Represent New Zealand in international competitions when qualified. If
unable to attend, the next eligible contestant may be appointed.
● Abstain from any associations or actions that may damage the reputation of
Mrs. New Zealand Limited.
● Submit all business proposals, sponsorship details, and major plans related to
their title to the organiser for approval.
● Avoid participating in other beauty pageants during their reigning year unless
explicitly approved.
● Submit travel plans at least one month in advance and limit absences to a
maximum of two weeks.
● Avoid making public appearances or media statements without prior written
consent from Mrs. New Zealand Limited.

They are encouraged but not compelled to:
Part 5. Monetary Awards, Expenses, and Sponsorships
Monetary Award:
The Grand Winner, who holds the Mrs. New Zealand title, will receive NZD $1,000.00
in cash along with a crown and sash, and will have the opportunity to compete at
Mrs. Globe on the world stage. Airfare and accommodation will be provided by Mrs.
New Zealand Ltd.
Other title holders will receive NZD $500.00 in cash along with crowns and sashes.
They will be solely responsible for all expenses related to international competitions
to represent New Zealand, including costumes, shoes, airfare, transportation,
accommodation, insurance, visas, taxes, and any other associated costs.
Sponsorships:
Title holders and contestants may receive sponsorships to cover costs related to entry
fees, evening gowns, national costumes, shoes, makeup, and hair. The total
sponsorship value must not exceed NZD $3,000.00. All sponsors must be disclosed in
writing to Mrs. New Zealand Limited before any public advertising or promotion.
Contestants and title holders are required to ensure that any promotional materials
featuring their sponsors comply fully with Mrs. New Zealand Limited’s rules, branding
guidelines, and advertising policies.
Sponsored Entry Fees and other associated costs:
Any entry fee sponsorship intended to support a winner’s participation in an
international competition must be paid directly to the organiser of that specific
international pageant. These payments are strictly for the contestant’s entry and are
non-transferable. If the qualified winner is unable to attend, the sponsored entry fee
cannot be transferred or reassigned to another individual.
Similarly, any associated costs that are sponsored to assist with the winner’s
participation in an international competition, such as airfare or transportation must
be paid directly to the airline or travel provider. These travel sponsorships are also
non-transferable and non-reassignable should the winner be unable to
attend the competition.
Part 6. Use of Title and Property
The crown, sash, trophies, and all pageant-related property remain the sole property
of Mrs. New Zealand Limited. These must be returned within 7 days following the
end of the reigning year or immediately upon disqualification or relinquishment of
the title.
Contestants who relinquish their title or who are disqualified are responsible for any
and all court costs and legal fees incurred by Mrs. New Zealand Limited to recover
pageant property.
Winners holding any returnable paraphernalia that is lost or misplaced will be
responsible for the cost of replacing such items.
Part 7. Confidentiality
All information furnished by a contestant is treated with strict confidentiality and will
only be accessible to the officials of Mrs. New Zealand Limited. This information will
not be shared with any external individuals, organisations, or entities without the
contestant’s prior written consent.
Part 8. Charity Participation
All contestants are expected to be heavily involved in supporting the designated
charity choice by Mrs. New Zealand Limited. They may also collaborate with projects
led by other contestants or independently adopt the Mrs. New Zealand Limited
charitable ethos "Beauty with a Mission."
Part 9. Final Provisions
All forms and required documents must be submitted by the registration deadline.
Required documents include:
○ Completed registration form and declaration
○ Release form
○ Valid photo ID (Driver’s Licence or Passport)
○ Three high-resolution photos
These terms and conditions are presented in clear form, with no hidden implications.
The organiser reserves the right to amend any part of the terms at any time, as
deemed appropriate.
